Some people think that having Pattinson's Batman and the DCU Batman at the same time will be confusing and one will cannibalize the other. Well, that's not really the case. If the DCEU was never rebooted into the DCU, we would still have two Batmen. This isn't new. People have been talking about this for years. And they won't cannibalize each other because James Gunn said that they won't release Batman films in the same 12-month span. Plus, DC Studios is working on an Elseworlds logo, so people will know it's not DCU. And finally, if it's good content people will watch it. So, if there are two Batman film series at once, if both are good, they will both do good.

Ever since I saw The Batman (2022), I was completely taken by Matt Reeves' vision and the way he has brought Batman back so strongly. The dark tone, mystery and depth of the character are just what I've always loved about this universe. And now, with The Penguin (2024) miniseries culminatedy, the excitement just doesn't stop! I feel like we're living in a new golden age for Gotham.
