This is a timeline of events that occurred in the 2020s.

2020[]

  • "Scream Louder. Scream Twice" is painted by Rosario Oliva.[citation needed]

Fall[]

  • Bruce Wayne begins his career as Batman, a decade after traversing the world and becomes a master chemist and engineer.[1]
  • Batman becomes in cohorts with Lieutenant Janice Dure. He helps her arrest Piggy Porcello, and saves Dex Starling from blackmail and her father, Bennet, from prison.[1]
  • Dex Starling and her father go to Metropolis to start a new life.[1]
  • Batman also subsequently befriends Lieutenant James Gordon.[2]
  • Edward Nashton burns down the orphanage he grew up in.[1]

  • "Broken Belief" by Bob Moses is released.[citation needed]

  • Edward Nashton discovers the truth behind the Gotham Renewal and corruption in Gotham.[2]

  • Ana Joon takes her son and leaves Gotham for Metropolis.[citation needed]

  • Attack on Gotham City Hall: Upon the funeral held for Don Mitchell Jr, Colson's car drives through City Hall. Batman fails to save him as he explodes, making him the Riddler's third victim.[2]

  • Batman & Catwoman Empire Exclusive
    Selina Kyle leaves Gotham. She parts ways with Batman on friendly terms.[2]

13th[]

  • The Penguin promo still - Sal Maroni and Penguin
    Oz visits Salvatore Maroni at Blackgate Penitentiary and gives him his ring back, secretly framing the Maroni Crime Family for Alberto’s murder.[3]
  • Abduction of the Penguin: Oz is captured and tortured by Sofia's thugs, interrogating him about Alberto's whereabout. Calvin is shot and killed during the interrogation by Sofia. Victor stages Alberto’s body to recovered by the Falcones, implicating Maroni’s crew.[3]

15th[]

16th[]

  • Oz visits his mother Francis Cobb, whose dementia has been getting worse.[4]
  • Sofia hires Marcus Wise to kidnap Ervad Hakimi, one of Maroni henchman, she has him tied up in the basement of the Falcone household. Nadia Maroni assigns Oz to retrieve Ervad before he can talk.[4]
  • Victor tries to plant jewels in Viti’s car exposing his affair with Luca’s wife at Alberto’s funeral but is forced to flee when he’s spotted by the Falcone’s bodyguards. Oz is forced to kill Ervad.[4]
  • Infiltration into the Falcone Mansion: Oz frames Sofia’s lieutenant Castillo as the mole, prompting Luca to execute him. Luca orders Sofia to stay out of the family business. Sofia offers a partnership with Oz, he accepts.[4]

17th[]

  • Sofia introduces Oz to her drug operation and drug substance from Arkham State Hospital called Bliss.[5]
  • Victor talks with Graciela about working with Oz and she tries talking him into leaving with her.[5]

18th[]

  • Oz and Sofia meet with the Triads, they only agree to work with them if they have Johnny Viti’s support. Victor is approached by a police officer who confiscates the money given by Oz.[5]
  • Oz and Sofia blackmail Johnny with his affair, forcing him to meet with Triad leader Feng Zhao.[5]

19th[]

  • Oz learns about Victor leaving him causing them to argue. Victor steals Oz’s car and drives to the bus station to reunite with Graciela but ends up not taking the bus.[5]
  • Ambush on the Penguin and Hangman: Oz and Sofia start an argument when the Maroni’s ambush them after discovering Oz is a double agent. Victor saves Oz and leaves Sofia behind as they drive off.[5] Sofia calls Julian for help before passing out.[6]

20th[]

  • Sofia wakes up in Julian's place while recovering from her injuries of last night. She later surprisingly shows up in a family dinner. After that, she makes the decision of having a fresh start.[6]

21st[]

22nd[]

  • Death Nadia AND naj maroni
    Abduction of Taj Maroni: Oz arrives at a warehouse to meet with Nadia. He lights Taj covered in gasoline and Nadia on fire, killing them. However the fire activates the chemical fire extinguishing sprays, destroying most of the Bliss.[7]
  • Sofia has Johnny set up a meeting with the last remaining henchmen of the family, proclaiming she is now taking over the business. When Viti resists, Sofia shoots him in the head. That night she visits Maroni offering him a partnership to kill Oz and takeover the city.[7]
  • Oz gets Victor to accompany him to an abandoned underground trolley station he visited in his childhood. He decides to use the station as a base of operations for regrowing Bliss.[7]

December[]

2nd[]

  • Sofia orders her henchmen to execute and publicly hang Oz’s distributors, the Sullivan Crime Family, to send a message. Oz decides that instead of leaving it with the other gangs, he assigns his crew to drop Bliss all around town for free.[8]
  • Francis’s dementia worsens, she makes Oz promise to help in letting her die before her condition becomes too severe, which he reluctantly agrees. Oz later threatens Councilman Sebastian Hady into restoring power to Crown Point.[8]
  • Sofia visits Eve Karlo to question her on Oz’s whereabouts. She doesn’t disclose anything until Sofia reveals the truth about her father being the Hangman.[8]
  • Murder of Squid: Squid threatens Victor to expose him if he isn’t made a part of the Bliss operation. Victor shoots him in the neck, killing him.[8]
  • Oz sets up a meeting named "Gold Summit" among all gang leaders of the city, asking them to cooperate in his fight against the Gigantes, the Maronis, and the upper elite.[8]
  • Abduction of Francis Cobb: The power in Crown Point turns on, Victor and Francis celebrate dancing unaware of Sofia having silently entered the apartment with a crowbar. Sofia then knocks out Victor and kidnaps Francis.[8]

3rd[]

  • Oz arrives at Crown Point, learning from Victor that Sofia has taken Francis. Sal and his henchmen force him to take them to the operation base.[9]
  • Attack on Gotham City Uptown Trolley and Transit System: Oz provokes Maroni to violence, seizing the opportunity to turn off the lights and flee. Sal has a heart attack while fighting Oz, he shoots his corpse and takes his ring.[9]
  • Sofia visits Gia at the orphanage, where Gia reveals she found a gas mask in her purse, wondering if she killed her family. Sofia claims her innocence, and also discovers that Gia has been doing self-harm during her stay. Oz calls offering both Maroni’s criminal empire back and Bliss operation in exchange for Francis.[9]
  • Bombing of Crown Point: Sofia sends a SUV full of explosives to the tunnel, Oz hides in the overflow tunnel while the bombs detonate, destroying a section of the city. Oz survives the explosion and is knocked out by Marcus Wise.[9]
  • Victor takes the heads of other gangs to the base of operation but is shocked to find it destroyed. The leaders decide to leave despite Victor's pleas to fight back.
  • Oz is brought to Sofia, who makes Francis confess the truth. When Oz fails to show any remorse for his actions, Francis disowns him before suffering a stroke. Oz escapes, kills Marcus, and brings Francis to the hospital.
  • Sofia meets with the heads of gangs, offering her criminal empire to whoever kills Oz, offering to leave Gotham forever. She also burns down her father’s belongs and the family mansion.
  • Oz goes to the city hall to talk with Hady. He exposes Sofia's actions, claiming that the base of operations belonged to Maroni. Framing the Maronis for killing Alberto, and Sofia for killing Sal's wife and son, as well as the explosion in Crown Point. Oz offers to give Hady full credit for restoring peace to Crown Point and ending the gang war in exchange for a position in the council.
  • Victor arranges for the bosses to be murdered by their deputies. Oz abducts Sofia, seemingly to murder her, but instead has his police contacts return her to Arkham.

  • Oz and Victor visit Francis to celebrate, only to learn that she entered a vegetative state, causing Oz to break down. Deciding that Victor has seen too much, Oz strangles him to death.

4th[]

  • Rush returns to Arkham to care for Sofia, handing her a letter from her half-sister, Selina Kyle.
  • Oz takes a bedridden Francis to a penthouse suite. He leaves her to join Eve in a dance, who roleplays as his mother, telling him nothing can stop him now.
  • The Bat-Signal lights up the night sky of Gotham once more.
