Chinatown is a location in the western part of Downtown Gotham City.^[1]

History[]

The news tickers of the TV stations Gotham City One and WGOT7-TV regularly show weather forecasts for Chinatown and other districts of Gotham City.^[2]^[3]

Behind the scenes[]

In DC Comics, the Chinatown of Gotham City is located in Downtown and first appeared in Detective Comics #39 (May, 1940).
- Eliot R. Brown included Chinatown on the official map of Gotham City for the comics that was first used during the storyline Batman: No Man's Land in 1999.

Chinatown appears on a map of Downtown Gotham City in the book The Art of The Batman.
- In the comics' prior topography, Chinatown has historically also been located in the western part of the Downtown Gotham island, north of the Tricorner.
