The Gotham City Fire Department, commonly known as the FDGC or GCFD, is an emergency unit in Gotham City responsible for technical rescue, fire protection, medical service, and investigation.
History[]
Attack on Gotham City Hall and Bombing of Wayne Tower[]
The FDGC responded to the Attack on Gotham City Hall and also when the Riddler tried to assassinate Bruce Wayne with during the Bombing of Wayne Tower, which resulted in the near death of Alfred Pennyworth.
Battle at Gotham Square Garden[]
The Gotham City Fire Department also got involved at Gotham Square Garden once the Riddler had begun flooding Gotham City and were discussing with Bella Reál before Jim Gordon and other cops of the Gotham City Police Department took over. The paramedic of FDGC look after the mayor after Gordon brings her to safety. The Fire Marshall led Gordon and the other GCPD Officer to where Riddler's followers were.
After the battle, the GCFD helped wounded civilians get to the National Guard for evacuation and medical attention.

Uniform[]
Gotham City Fire Department members wear uniforms similar to the FDNY uniforms, with the initials FDGC written on the back, along with the fireman's name in the lower back. They wear Black fire bunker gear and normal firefighters have a black coloured traditional helmet. Personnel ranging from Battalion Chiefs up to Commissioner wear a white helmet instead of the standard black.
The firefighters wear traditional helmets that are typically black, while the paramedics wear a modern helmet that is typically orange with the EMS logo, the FDGC paramedic gear is an alternative version of the FDNY EMS bunker gear.
