HBO Max (formerly named Max) is a subscription-based streaming service owned by Warner Bros. Discovery that launched on May 27, 2020. HBO Max is based on Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO premium TV service and includes all of its programming, plus a range of additional original programming and library content from all parts of Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as third-party content providers from which Warner Bros. Discovery bought streaming rights.
