- "But you need me now, Sofia. You need me. You wanna be boss? You wanna win this war? Money's not enough. You need respect, you need soldiers who wanna fight for you. You go at it alone out there, you're not gonna last a day. I can get you that respect. I couldn't help your mother. Let me help you."
- ―Johnny Viti to Sofia Falcone.[src]
Johnny Viti was the underboss of the Falcone Crime Family, and the cousin of Sofia and Alberto Falcone's mother Isabella. Viti would be forced to take on higher levels of responsibility within the Family, in the wake of Carmine Falcone's murder at the hands of Riddler, as Luca Falcone adjusted to his new role of the head of the Family, while Viti also dealt with the return of Sofia and the death of Alberto, who was seemingly murdered by the Maroni Crime Family. Eventually, while he was being blackmailed by Sofia and the Penguin, Viti had then witnessed Sofia massacre all the rest of the Falcone Family, including Johnny's own family, before she dismantled the Falcone Crime Family and formed the Gigante Crime Family. When Viti attempted to prevent this, he was immediately executed by Sofia.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Joining the Falcone Family[]
Johnny Viti is the older brother of Carla Viti, and the cousin of Isabella Gigante.[1] At some point in his life, he became a made man in the Falcone Crime Family. He introduced Isabella to the Falcone Don, Carmine Falcone. When they married, Viti become a relative by extension with Carmine, eventually rising up the ranks to become the underboss of the Family.[2]
Death of Isabella Falcone[]
Johnny was aware that Isabella and Carmine's marriage had been falling apart, and it got to the point that she couldn’t take it being his wife anymore. Seeking out his help, Johnny agreed to help Isabella escape Carmine with her two children, Sofia and Alberto.
On the night of March 20th, 1994, Johnny had a car ready to take Isabella and her children away from Gotham, but Isabella was discovered by Carmine, who killed her and covered it up by making it appear she hung herself. Despite knowing this, Viti continued working for Carmine as his underboss.[2]
Betrayal of Sofia Falcone[]
In 2012, Johnny and the rest of the Family attended Carmine's birthday party at his mansion. However, that night, Sofia was arrested for the murder of seven women, when in actuality it was done by her father, who framed her to cover up his crimes. Carmine then had numerous Family members, including Johnny, write reports that Sofia was mentally unwell, which resulted in her being sent to Arkham State Hospital.
Affair with Tina Falcone[]
At some point, Viti began a secret affair with Luca Falcone's third wife Tina.[3] Without Viti's knowledge, Carmine had hired a private investigator to take photographs of Viti and Tina's affair, with the intention of being able to use these to blackmail Viti, if he ever felt the need to do so.
New Leadership[]
Moving the Drops Operation[]
A week after Carmine's death, Johnny and Milos Grapa ordered Penguin to shut down his Drops operation at The Plant and get ready to move everything to Robbinsville, as their was less police presence there.
This angered Penguin, who argued with Johnny that they're leaving their territories up for grabs to the Maronis and other gangs. Penguin then brought up that he heard of a new drug shipment that could potentially revolutionize the drug trade. However, at that moment, Sofia, recently released from Arkham, entered the room and began asking Penguin if he knew where Alberto was, who hadn’t returned home the previous night. Penguin then left, but Viti once again ordered him to shut his operation at the Plant down, and gave him 48 hours.
Discovering Alberto’s Body[]
The next day, Viti, Milos, and the other guards were shocked when a car crashed on the estate. Sofia opened the car trunk to find Alberto's dead body, with the words 'Payback' written above him. Johnny and the rest of the Family believed the Maroni Family were responsible as a result.

Personality[]
Johnny had been shown to be very arrogant, uptight and disrespectful. Being the underboss of the Falcone Crime Family had given him the idea of being someone who was above most of everyone. He disrespected Penguin due to his clubbed foot and the way he walks because of it, considering him nothing more than a joke, he was also one of the few people who was not afraid of Sofia Falcone insulting her directly despite being the daughter of Carmine Falcone, and mocking her when she received the order of Luca Falcone to leave Gotham City, calling her an entitled brat who got what she deserved and he even personally printed a boarding pass only for his amusement because he found that situation hilarious. He was also kind of selfish, given that he had an affair with his boss's wife.[4]
Nevertheless, he still cared for some other people, such as Isabella Falcone. Viti loved dearly his cousin and wanted to help her escape from Gotham. The pain and anger he felt following her demise made him hate and resent Isabella's children, because she had previously left Carmine once but returned because of them.[2]
